Since the body produces and eliminates CO2 constantly, it recognizes it as a natural element. Inoculating CO2 does not involve any risk. Actually, it stimulates circulation increase, a natural reaction aimed at eliminating the excess of CO2 present in the tissues (intentionally triggered by the treatment). This increase induces greater tissue oxygenation and a restored circulatory function This triggers tissue and physiological activities brought on by the treatment.
Absolutely not: it induces endogenous oxygenation.
The equipment is connected to a medical CO2 cylinder, equipped with all the necessary safety and gas regulation systems. The cylinder is then connected to a pressure reducer in order to reach the patient at a physiologically acceptable pressure.
The treatment lasts only a few minutes, the time needed to inoculate a sufficient amount of gas into the tissues, is painless and does not require recovery time. The number of sessions is usually about 10 to be performed once or twice a week.
Carboxytherapy treatment consists in the subcutaneous inoculation of carbon dioxide using small needles. No other substance is either injected or conveyed. The action of CO2 alone is sufficient to trigger recovery processes in the tissues and at a circulatory level, that lead to the cure of a broad spectrum of diseases (from venous insufficiency to localized fat and obvious wrinkles decrease). All of this occurs thanks to deep tissue oxygenation and to circulation recovery, brought on by an abnormal increase of CO2 in the body.
The device, since it is a medical device which uses the action of a gas, has (albeit minimal) contraindications which must be strictly observed in order to avoid possible side effects. These are, however, clearly indicated in the application protocols, to give the operator the possibility, while determining the patients medical history, of recognizing potential obstacles to the treatment and propose alternative solutions such as the use of other complementary techniques. The only absolute contraindications are: pulmonary emphysema, COPD, pregnancy and breast feeding.
The device has several preset programs that allow you to modify very easily the parameters (volume, quantity and temperature) with which the gas exits so as to optimize the treatment in terms of tolerability and effectiveness. A detailed work protocol matches each pathology to the optimal program to be used as gas temperature dosing is essential for reducing the painfulness of the treatment.
The device is completely intuitive and simple to set up and is equipped with a safety system that does not allow the gas to exit until it reaches the desired temperature. It is also equipped with a system for cleaning filters and accessories that prevents any other element from being mistakenly conveyed with CO2.
The device is equipped with a specifically designed a bag which allows for easy transportation even between different structures.
Absolutely not.
It is absolutely necessary to respect all relevant health regulations related to the change of needles and materials and to set the device so it can perform the cleaning operations the equipment is designed to do.
Immediately after the treatment it is possible to notice a reaction tied directly to tissue oxygenation and to the strong circulatory stimulus induced. However, in order to see a major structural change it is necessary to wait for a few sessions. It is also very important to complete treatment cycles by performing the recommended number of sessions, so as to guarantee stability and duration of obtained results.
The CO2 flows in intradermally or subcutaneously, depending on needle inclination.
Anyone can do this treatment unless they present the contraindications mentioned in the work protocols and match the therapeutic profile, regardless of sex or age
Carbon Dioxide is an excellent complement to mesotherapy because it enhances its effects. However, it also represents a valid alternative, simply thanks to its actions (on circulation, on skin and on adipocytes), Also for needle phobic patients it is a great alternative, as the technique only requires few inoculation points.
Carboxytherapy treatments should be performed at least 2 weeks after Botox injections and 1 month after fillers. The synergy between the two methodologies is absolutely not contraindicated, however, we recommend performing filler or Botox injections, after having done Carboxytherapy. In the case of the botulinum toxin, if Carboxytherapy, which causes vasodilation, is performed in the first days after toxin inoculations, it may favor its migration, possibly also involving muscles, which normally are not involved in the treatment. Also, since it is an effective anti-aging treatment, the required quantity of injectables will be lower and will therefore lead to a significant advantage for doctor and patient.
